On Wednesday, September 20, Fishbon Event Lab operatives witnessed a live breakout performance by UCSB based electro/noise metal band Heat Death. Using a duo synthesizer with homemade oscillators and super-percussive drumset Alex and Angus played with August's apocalypic background graphics. The result was a high energy melee with an end of the world as we know it flavor. Later in the evening, agents formed teams for Fishbon's upcoming Apocalypse extravaganza in October.

ZeroOne San Jose and Nouveau Dripping
On Wednesday, September 13, Fishbon Event Lab agents were treated to a visual feast of images and projects from the ZeroOne, the 13th International Symposium of Electronic Art held this year in San Jose. Dan and Mark David presented videos and stills of their contributions and lots of experiential and interactive projects from independent artists, university and private research facilities around the world. Projects ranged from small scale high definition Surveillance Aircraft to continually cycling Large Scale Projections that bathed the San Jose City Hall building in a collage of art from the exhibition hall. Later in the evening, Alan and Corinna demonstrated their new and improved Trance Dripper with automatic pump and temperature control.
The Great Apocalypse and South Korea
On Wednesday, September 6, Fishbon Event Lab operatives, many newly returned from Burning Man were presented with a plan for a multiple venue Mega Event with the working title The Great Apocalypse: Trials and Tribulations. The collaborative experiential event will be presented in late October at both the Pescadrome and Reds Espressobar in Santa Barbara and then be available to tour to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Based on the Hero's Journey Monomyth articulated by Joseph Campbell in his book: Hero With a Thousand Faces, the piece will draw on the combined talents of the artists, dancers, videographers, engineers and scientists of the Fishbon community. For more details about the project visit the Great Apocalypse website. Later in the evening Alan showed his cool South Korea Video with a tour of Seoul and the surrounding countryside.
