Scrim Dance

Enchanted Forest and Simultaneous Virtual Worlds

On Wednesday, April 5, laptop equipped comandos of the Fishbon Real and Virtual Event Lab gathered for their usual weekly madness. The evening began with Ulrike's high contrast forest projections in the Scrimscape. Delirious experiments with fabric and movement occupied operatives for a short attention span eternity before shifting to a Virtual World Blowout in Second Life. Thanks to newly installed Wi-Fi router, six laptops and their avatars frolicked in virtual space simultaneously. The clear favorite was Jeffrey's Dancing Madman with moves that can only be described as diabolical. Meanwhile across the street fire gypsies experimented with Dominique's Spark Powder in the clandestine Fishbon parking lot annex.

Final Apocalypse and Touring Virtual

On Wednesday, March 29th secret agents from Fishbon Event Lab gathered to witness the last moments of Misha's world and its fiery demise. The last of the great world cataclysms (at least for now), the sun set on Insane Collage World in the orange light from Alan's latest Fire Breathing Monster. The mega-device blasts propane clouds on cue from a keychain remote (certainy a future must-have fashion accessory). Later in the evening Tim and other agents took turns driving Clay's avatar around Second Life with interesting, but twisted results.

Laser Nets for Delirious

On Wednesday, March 22, thanks to Mark, Fishbon Event Lab operatives added two extreme lasers to the immersive dance theatre that they perfected last week. By doubling the number of white scrims and adding lasers, they created an Ethereal World of three dimensional projection slices that changed radically depending on the angle from which it was viewed. The technology will have it's full-scale event debut at DELIRIOUS, a combined Fishbon and Clan Destino party on April 8 at Santa Barbara's Muddy Waters Cafe.
